Fully automatic labeling machines are core automated production equipment in the cosmetics industry, which directly affect product appearance, brand image and regulatory compliance. However, the labeling process is restricted by industry characteristics with prominent technical difficulties.
Cosmetic containers are diverse and exquisitely shaped, including glass bottles, acrylic bottles and special-shaped bottles of various forms. They feature complex curved surfaces and slender bodies, which easily lead to positioning deviation. Uneven stress during labeling often causes skewness, wrinkles and label warping.
Label adaptation poses great challenges. Most labels are high-grade film or paper labels, thin and lightweight, prone to stretching and deformation. Their adhesiveness is significantly affected by temperature and humidity. In addition, labeling must meet high brand aesthetic standards; any deviation in labeling precision will severely damage visual presentation.
During high-speed production, asynchronous conveying of containers and labels reduces labeling accuracy, and wear of machine components easily results in unplanned downtime. Furthermore, cumbersome switching between multiple specifications leads to high consumption of label materials. Coupled with stricter mandatory labeling regulations for cosmetics and growing demand for personalized packaging, labeling difficulties are further intensified, forming a major bottleneck restricting the standardization and high-end upgrading of cosmetics manufacturing.
