Fully automatic labeling machines are core automated production equipment in the nutritional health supplement industry, directly determining product compliance, traceability and brand credibility. Nevertheless, the labeling process faces prominent challenges due to the unique characteristics of the industry.
Health supplements adopt a wide variety of packaging containers, including oral liquid bottles, capsule bottles and gift boxes in diverse shapes. Most are small-sized or irregular bottles prone to positioning offset. Complex curved surfaces create uneven stress during labeling, which commonly results in skewed, warped labels and trapped air bubbles.
Stringent standards apply to labels. Core information such as ingredients, functional claims and shelf life must be clearly printed. Most labels are scratch-resistant and waterproof film stickers whose adhesiveness is highly sensitive to temperature and humidity. Feeding misalignment may cover mandatory information and bring about compliance risks.
At high production speeds, asynchronous conveyance of containers and labels reduces labeling precision, and component wear often causes unexpected downtime. In addition, frequent and cumbersome changeovers between multiple specifications lead to high label material consumption. Coupled with strict traceability compliance standards and rising demand for high-end packaging of health supplements, labeling difficulties are further aggravated, forming a major bottleneck restricting standardized and regulated production of nutritional health products.
